My love of real estate began when I heard Mr. O'Hara say, "It's the land, Katie Scarlett, it's the only thing that lasts".
I was raised in Southeast Missouri, particularly in Jackson. I lived the military lifestyle in my earlier years, moving around from state to state and also to the UK. I was very fortunate, after moving back to this counrty, to start my real estate career with Thomas L. Meyer, who was, in my opinion, the Father of Real Estate in southeast Missouri and beyond. What a wonderful training ground for all types of real estate issues!
I was raised as a only child, but discovered my birth family recently and found that I was the oldest of three! Stan and I have ten kiddos, 25 grand-kiddos, and our first great-grand is due this summer. We love kids and are turly loving the grandparent life!
My family has been required to move out of state twice due to my husband's job, I didn't keep my Missouri license up to date when I wasn't living here, and, in total, I have had to take both the salesperson's and the broker's tests three times due to moves. At this point, I plan to keep my license active as long as I live so that I never have to take those tests a fourth time!
It is a joy to work with Century 21 Ashland Realty with so many experienced, ethical committed real estate professionals.
